Buxtons Ltd

Bernard Buxton started Buxton’s over 40 years ago while still working as a farmer. He started out hiring and selling Dolmar chainsaws with Oregon chain, he soon became an agent for Stihl dealing with their first 3 models 08S, 07S and Lightning. He later became an agent for Husqvarna and Jonsered and the farmhouse became a shop and workshop with repairs carried out by Bernard and his father in law Frank Owen. 20 years later Bernard’s daughter, Lucy joined the firm.

Over the years Buxton’s business has grown and grown, it now has one of the largest ranges of garden and forestry equipment in the country. We stock lawn mowers, ride on mowers, chainsaws, brush-cutters, hedge-trimmers, blowers, chippers, shredders, cultivators, vacuums and scarifiers.

Buxton’s also specialize in the supply of chainsaw and arboricultural accessories to forestry workers and tree surgeons throughout the UK.

At our premises on the side of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire we have a large team of experienced mechanics who repair and service all makes of forestry and garden machinery. We also sell a wide range of spare parts and accessories in our shop, which is open 6 days per week.

Stafford Railway Building Society

Earlier this year Stafford Railway Building Societyannounced its three year sponsorship of Stafford Rugby Union Football Club. The local Building Society will see its name up in lights as it sponsors the rugby club’s pitch boards at the ground. Mike Heenan, chief executive of Stafford Railway Building Society, said: “We’re keen to support local clubs and are looking forward to seeing our name up on the boards when we visit the ground. The club is an integral part of the community that has members of all ages and all levels.

Stafford Railway Building Society was formed in 1877 by a small group of railway workers who wanted a means of saving and financing new homes for themselves. Prudent management and a strong local focus have meant that the Society has remained strong without the need to open offices outside of its original area.
